Well hey there!
Another quick post today about something I've wanted to review for a while but thought I'd give it a fair chance before doing so. No 7 is never a brand I usually go for when it comes to make-up, especially foundation so I thought I would give it a go as it's a brand my mum uses often and looks lovely on her. However, I wish I could say the same for myself as I find this foundation pretty horrible.
When I first put it on I noticed the smell immediately and it was vile. My normal foundations are usually odourless or at least smell good like the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, but this has a really strong, almost paint-like smell which wasn't very forgiving when I applied it around my nose.
The texture is very thick and felt heavy on my skin and although on the packaging it claims it has 'Up to 14 hours shine free complexion and a soft, even finish' it just sank into my skin during the day, resulting in breakouts and left my skin looking patchy. The colour I got was 'Cool Ivory' which was the lightest colour available at the Boots store I was in however the more I wore it the more I noticed it had an orange tinge to which made the patchiness look even worse.
All in all I pretty much dislike this product completely, apart from the packaging which I think makes it look like a much higher end product, but it's also very efficient as you can clearly see how much of the product you have left, in my case, quite a lot. So I definitely do not recommend this product if you have skin that's dry or prone to break outs, especially for the price of £13.50.
Thanks for reading, sorry I feel like this is so negative hah, if you've ever tried this foundation or know of any other disappointing ones I'd love to know in the comments :-)

Well hey there!
So I've been a little late with putting this up since we're almost half way through January now, but I've thought long and hard and finally decided on things I really want and can realistically afford over this year. These are the things I want to buy and do with my own money before the year is up, but I know all this will only happen with some strict saving, which unfortunately I am terrible at:-( Any who, here they are.
Canon EOS 1000d SLR Camera
I've always wanted a Canon camera and this year is the year I will splurge out and get one. This year I'm going to New York, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and so with all the travelling I want to document and photograph all the things I'll see with a proper camera, not just my iPhone. So I've decided on the 1000d instead of the typical and very popular 600d because I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to photography plus the 1000d is much cheaper and is perfect for what I want it for.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
What a shocker! This is no surprise to any blogger but I've read so many reviews since starting my blog that have sold me again and again that I feel I am obliged by all beauty bloggers to purchase this god-send. I'm pretty crap when it comes to taking my make-up off to this seems perfect for someone like me.
OMG! I'm excited already and the tickets haven't even been released yet. So many people I know went last year and had the best time of their lives that's convinced me and my friends that we need to go and so we're already planning the entire thing.
iPad Mini in White
Not much to say here except I really want this particular iPad since it is small and I can take it anywhere. I think this will come in most handy with all the travelling I have this year and and an iPad is always a great product to have.
Chloe by Chloe Perfume
So this is something I fancied for Christmas but never got round to actually putting it on my list as my list of perfumes was getting near arms length so I think this should be something I should splurge out on for myself, although I find the concept of buying my own perfume a little weird...hmm maybe I could get it for my birthday.
So this is my 2014 wish list and I'm hoping I will be able to resist spending to save up for these products. I would love to hear what products you want to buy this year, so please leave a comment and thanks for reading :-)

I thought I'd slip in a blog post between homeworks and coursework and tell you all about this unbelievable mascara from Benefit. Benefit is my favourite brand of make-up and always produces amazing products and so I can't rave about this mascara enough and encourage anyone who is looking for a new mascara to definitely give this a try.
I wear this mascara everyday and it never fails to make my lashes look amazing (if I do say so myself). It ticks all the boxes for length, volume and curl and the 'jet-black' colour stands out no matter how long you wear it. Whenever I use a mascara that isn't waterproof I always end up with black smudges under my eyes which always use to annoy me and made it so difficult to find a good mascara, but with Benefit They're Real! mascara I've never had this problem which really surprised, because it was the first non-waterproof mascara that I could wear all day without any smudges. This is a serious tribute to its '100% saw long-wearing results' on the packaging.
I first picked up this mascara months ago and honestly nothing compares as I have repurchased it several times since. The only issue is the price which is £19.99 which is a tad on the pricey side, but even when used every day it lasts a while and considering it is from Benefit and the results it gives it isn't too bad.
This product has now become an necessity of mine and a part of almost every make-up look. However if the price is putting you off, and you don't suffer with irritating black under-eye smudges then I suggest the Maybeline Falsies mascara is a great alternative and its under £10.
Thank you for reading:-) Would love to hear if you love this mascara as much as I do, or whether you are planning to give it a try, so please leave a comment

Well hey there!
Thought I'd give this a whirl and show you all some of the outfits I've been completely obsessed with over this winter. I like to mix and match clothes hence why I'm wearing the same pieces in some of the photos and I don't exactly have oodles to spend either especially after Christmas. This is a mixture of casual wear and things I'd wear on a daily basis and a night-out outfits.
Both the dresses shown here are from Primark and they are great to throw on to dress up a little but still look casual, the shoes I've paired with them are my favourite thing ever, and they're from Missguided. They have a short heel and are surprisingly comfy, Missguided is just the best place for shoes.
The jeans I'm wearing in these photos are the Mom Jeans from Topshop and they are the comfiest pair of jeans I've ever had!! They go with so many pieces and I added the black belt myself to 'finish off the look', this is such a good casual look.
The last outfit I have here is more of a going out look and fur coats (fake of course) have definitely been a favourite of mine this winter. They're so warm and make you look a little more dressed up for an occasion. This specific one is from New Look, the leggings from Topshop and the shoes are from Missguided, of course. These have been my favourite clothes to wear throughout winter, most of them paired with a leather jacket or furry parka on top as the weather is freezing in Wales at the moment (no surprise there).
Thanks for reading, I'd love to see posts about other people's Winter/2013 Lookbooks so please leave a comment with your URL's as I love having a nosey through them or if you have any questions :-)

Well hey there!
I want to begin by wishing all of you a happy new year and hope you went into the new year surrounded by family and friends and glasses of champagne. I would love to hear how everyone celebrated the beginning of 2014.
Now this is one of my new year's resolutions that I am definitely sticking to this year, and that is to start posting much more often (because as usual I don't see eating healthily and working out more is going to last long), and so I thought I would kick off the new year with a post on my new favourite lipstick, MAC Russian Red.
This is a shade I have wanted for so long but always put it off as I was worried it would look too harsh on me as I have very fair skin, but I got it as a Christmas present and I was absolutely and utterly over the moon with the results. This is, without a doubt, the perfect red lipstick for the classic red lip as the colour is just right and it's so easy to apply. Like all MAC products, it is highly pigmented and although it is a dream to apply on its own, using a fine lip brush gives much more precision and leaves you with big, bold red lips.
I grab every chance I get to use this lipstick because I think it's best suited for the winter time and parties, but personally it isn't a lipstick I would use on a daily bases. Another surprise I found using this product is that it never really dried my lips out, which was unusual from my experience with matte lipsticks as they tend to sink into your lips which never looks good. It is quite a creamy product considering which has been added to the list of all the other reason why I love this MAC lipstick so much.
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Years Eve/Day!
Thanks for reading and I would love to hear if anyone has any New Years resolutions for 2014 or any other MAC products they adore so please leave a comment
